Come Holy Spirit!
Bind up the tendrils
of doubt,
twist them
into braids
of faith
Come Holy Spirit!
Take away the
ache of
shortcomings, and
heal them with
a Holy band-aid of
God’s grace.
Come Holy Spirit
Create in us
a pure heart.
Give us courage
to proclaim
His Majesty
and the wisdom
to selflessly step
aside, and let
the great Jehovah
have control.

Amen! Write on! Love you and your blessed writings.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mary. The same is being sent back to you.
DeleteYes! I know too often we ( I ) tend to hold onto my shortcomings. I should not. When I take them to the Lord; He is ready to forgive. So why would I fail to forgive myself when the Almighty God has forgiven me.
ReplyDeleteThat is the absolute truth too, but sometimes we tend to forget who is in control. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
ReplyDeleteAmen, Nells! An absolutely exquisite poem, my friend.
